Agency Profile

The agency has its roots in the early 1960s when Dan and Peggy Brown began business in the front of the family home. With experience as an agent for a large agricultural insurer and a lot of perseverance they were determined to build an agency with service as its foundation. The agency has been successful due to the support of many loyal clients throughout Marion and surrounding counties in Oregon. Dan and Peggy remain semi-active in the business, as the retirement schedule allows. In 1975 Carl Brown joined the firm and is now the company president, with the same goal — to provide service and quality products at affordable prices.

Our agency objective is to provide the highest level of service possible to our clients. BIA provides, in addition to standard and preferred personal lines service, a complete array of agribusiness insurance products, and small business packages. This agency places a major emphasis on keeping our clients satisfied over the long term. Driven by this service ethic, BIA provides to its clients a 24-hour emergency telephone service on our regular business telephone. Someone from our staff is available at all times for emergency situations such as accidents, fires, or any insurance-related claim. BIA has a network of emergency service providers established to assist our insured in the event of a need.

Our Staff

Our staff consists of four licensed agents/CSRs who dedicate their time to writing and monitoring personal insurance and commercial property and liability. Two other agents are licensed for all product lines including life and health insurance. Additionally, we have two staff members who operate and assist in the business affairs of our office. The average tenure of our seven-agent staff is 21years in the insurance industry contributing to reliable, experienced, long-term relationships.
